The Wood Wharf development at Canary Wharf will comprise a mix of uses including residential and commercial (office and retail) buildings. It will be constructed using multiple construction phases and comprises around 37 buildings between 1 and 56 storeys high.
Byrne Bros. scope includes a common basement structure (formed of a podium, intermediate and raft slab) and will cover the footprint of multiple phases.
As part of Phase 2, the common basement will be for Buildings C2 and D3/D4, with connection to existing Phase 1 basement and other infrastructure.
The development, once complete, will provide over 3,300 new homes, nearly 2 million sq ft of high quality commercial office space, and a further 490,000 sq ft of shops, restaurants and community uses.
