Works included the soft strip of all floors, removal of redundant plant on the roof, existing columns, staircases and escalators within the atrium and then infilled to increase the size of the exhibition space. The existing loading bay on the ground floor was increased by two third in footprint. A new reception area was formed including toilets, kitchen and seating area.

The refurbishment works at Olympia 2 Exhibition Centre were carried out over 20,000m2

Each floor was approximately 4,000m2; ground, first, second, third and roof

The refurbishment and fit-out of the remaining floors included:

All associated services, new lighting and controls, fire alarm system, adaption and extension of the existing sprinkler system, air conditioning and heating and the existing four passenger lifts and two goods lifts modernised. The listed main facade of Olympia on Hammersmith Road was delicately repaired, steam cleaned and given a new specialist coating to protect the original materials and the listed windows re-painted.
