O2 Arena

For this project, our client challenged us to construct both the arena and the 6 waterfront buildings within the existing dome tented structure of the O2 Arena.

To deliver this complex sequence, we used mobile cranes and to maintain access to the cores they were cast in advance of the surrounding structure using our innovative slipform and climbing techniques.

The high level of concrete finish required by the architect, meant our engineers had to devise the use fibre-glass shuttering and a specialist concrete for maintaining a uniform colour.
