London Bridge Place

London

The Place at London Bridge is another development project with over 40,000m² of office space and 2,000m² of retail
within the London Bridge Quadrant. After the earlier success of The Shard project, Mace chose Byrne Bros. to execute the concrete substructure and superstructure on this contract. This also included the regeneration of the London Bridge Station bus depot for TFL and extension and adaption of the main London Bridge Underground control room.

The project involved deep basement excavation adjacent to significant London Underground assets, including escalator shafts and running tunnels and major structural adaption of the existing smoke extract vent shaft in a live underground scenario.
