This project involved the complete strip out back to the shell, and demolition of existing link structure that connected the Boardwalk building to Lakeside Shopping Centre. The structural works included marine piling along the south side of the existing boardwalk to widen the existing structure. CFA piling to the new link structure to provide larger retail units and the subdivision of the existing shell area to provide a total of 14 individual restaurant and theme bar units.
The existing boardwalk shell was completely re-clad with a combination of traditional cladding along the service road elevation and timber cladding alongside the boardwalk elevation including the provision of new windows, sun shades and canopies. The existing link structure to the New Orleans floating restaurant was also adapted and refurbished.
