Ink Building

The structure of 108 apartments comprised a single basement which extends to the site boundary on all four sides and a substantial ground level transfer slab. Above ground three main residential structures rose to six, eight and nine stories.

The building has been designed to achieve a ‘very good’ rating under the EcoHomes scheme. Sustainability credentials include the reuse of a Brownfield site, the specification of materials from managed sources, high levels of thermal insulation and the use of highly efficient condensing boilers.

The Ink Building occupies the site of a former print works in North Kensington.
