Its construction consisted of a 48 Storey in situ concrete core and substructure. The core comprised shafts for 12 passenger elevators and escape stairs were constructed using an innovative Automatic Climbing shutter system. Superstructure construction was structural steel with composite lightweight concrete floor slabs.
