Hop House

London WC2

The apartments are a mix of 1, 2 & 3 bedroom units with lateral apartments on the upper floors and duplex apartments covering the ground and lower ground floor levels.

The scope of works included constructing an extension at roof level to provide a double storey penthouse apartment and roof garden.

The existing facade was refined and included for demolishing and re-constructing parts of the existing façade with new materials. A rear lightwell and 2No smaller light wells formed along the Hop Gardens elevation provides daylight penetration to the lower ground floor level apartments.

The project involved the conversion of the existing office building to provide 29 high quality residential units.

A twin lift shaft and central staircase provides access to the various floor levels, with individual private staircases linking the two levels within the duplex apartments
