Bloomberg Place

London, EC4

The new Bloomberg UK headquarters comprises two buildings connected by glazed bridges across a retail arcade that bisects the site.

The project included composite slabs and reinforced concrete cores set on multi level basement.

The basement was constructed within the restrictions of existing retaining walls and spanning Wallbrook / Thames Water culverts, and included a connecting structure to the LUL Bank Station.

A vast superstructure comprising of seven slip formed cores and six large shear walls, all with complex embed plates for steel work and high density blast reinforcement.

Efficient logistics on this restricted city site was key to support programme demands of up to 2500m3 per week. All of which were overcome to ensure our high standards were maintained.
