This is the first phase of the iconic Battersea Power Station Project and consists of 12 high rise residential blocks to the West of the 39 acre site.
This large scale project had a concrete requirement of 80,000m3 and 15,000 tonnes of reinforcement.
The site used nine tower cranes and the workforce peaked at approximately 500 operatives. To satisfy the project specification and programme requirements, a variety of construction techniques were utilised during the project; including jumpform cores, slipform cores, precast cores, twin-wall, post-tension superstructure slabs, precast balconies, precast biscuit slabs and precast columns and walls. The predominant use of precast elements served to achieve the challenging programme constraints.
