Byrne Group Team Completes the Charity Cycle Ride to Bruges.

Byrne Group employees geared up this summer to cycle from Reigate to the beautiful medieval city of Bruges in Belgium as part of the YMCA East Surrey Annual charity cycle. In doing so, we raised £3,150 (Plus £600 with gift aid). All expenses were paid for by the participants.

On Saturday 6th June, the team, assisted by motorbike outrider, Simon Houska, began their epic cycle to the historic city of Bruges. After leaving Reigate bright and early at 4am, the team cycled eye balls out to Dover in time to catch the 12pm ferry to Dunkirk, before completing the last leg to Bruges. An impressive 160 miles cycled within 14 hours.

YMCA East Surrey undertakes fantastic work with people with disabilities of all ages. They offer various programmes to help people of all ages develop to their full potential, including activities such as sport, childcare, youth work and housing.
