British Construction Industry Award

Byrne Bros., along with Robert Bird Group and Dragados, is very proud to receive the BCIA for Temporary Works Initiative of the Year : Buildings. It was received for the Temporary Truss at the Bank Station Capacity Upgrade project for London Underground.

The judges said “This is an excellent example of a well-planned project, and perfectly demonstrates the benefits of early contractor involvement. The introduction of a temporary truss for top-hung, top-down construction of a new station entrance created a larger working space and eliminated the risk of accidental damage to the plunge piles.”
