SCOPE OF WORK Gloucester Quays Designer Outlet is located close to the Historic Docks and has more than 50 stores including some of the high streets favourite retail brands. The extensive site encompasses the major section of Gloucester’s western waterfront and includes a number of listed Victorian warehouses and a Scheduled Ancient Monument. The project comprises a multi-storey car park and access ramps and in-situ RC slabs, similar to the system constructed for the Drake Circus project in Plymouth. The design is based on the use of steel Deltabeams, designed and fabricated by Peikko Group in Finland, and pre-cast concrete columns and hollow-core slabs. This gives a 16 metre clear span and had the benefit of a fast erection programme. |
