The Group has focused considerable effort on sustainability and the potential impact its services may have on the environment. During 2009 Byrne Bros set up a series of sustainability objectives to help achieve real change. This seven point strategy included

1. Reduction of carbon emissions from its transport fleet

2. Reduction of energy usage

3. Zero waste to landfill

4. Minimisation of water consumption

5. Responsible sourcing of materials

6. Using timber from sustainable sources (FSC & PEFC)

7. Creating an educational legacy
